Toast The Season: Spiced Cranberry French 75

Hey Hey flower Friends! With holiday parties around the corner have you been looking to elevate your cocktail game? Give this festive twist on a French 75 a try! Every year when fresh cranberries are readily available I make a few batched of spiced cranberry simple syrup. It is the perfect way to dress up simple cocktails and is a delightful flavor that’s perfect for holiday celebrations. Here’s how I use it to on one of my favorite French 75. It’s bubbly, refreshing, and always feels a little extra fancy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz gin

  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 oz spiced cranberry simple syrup (see here)

  • Champagne or sparkling wine (to top off)

  • Ice

  • Fresh cranberries and a lemon twist (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Chill a champagne flute or coupe glass.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, fresh lemon juice, and spiced cranberry simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.

  3. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

  4. Carefully top off the glass with champagne or sparkling wine for that bubbly finish.

  5. Add a few fresh cranberries and a twist of lemon peel to your drink for an elegant presentation.

  6. Enjoy your festive Cranberry French 75 and toast to wonderful moments!

Tips:

  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of spiced cranberry simple syrup you use.

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute gin and champagne with sparkling water!
